With a V92 modem, you can get three new features that will add convenience and performance for your Internet connection. The three features are quick connect and increased speed, Modem-on-Hold™ (MOH) and PCM Upstream.

The Advantages of a V92 Internet Connection

With the new feature of quick connect, It will shorten the length of time for you to establish an Internet connection. Typically, the modem connection (all that noise you hear) could take up to 30 seconds. With a V92 modem, it takes less than half that time. Once connected with a V92 ISP, your actual Internet speed can increase up to 200% more than your standard 56K dial-up modem.

With Modem-on-Hold, V92 Internet users add an outstanding feature. Typically many Internet users use the same telephone line to connect to the Internet and to make telephone calls. Once connected to the Internet, whoever tries to call in or out would get a busy signal.

Another feature, PCM Upstream, boosts the uploading of data, files, emails and pictures between the user and V92 ISP. This reduce upload times. Up to a 48 Kbps upstream rate is supported, and saves tremendous time. PCM Upstream will excel with new equipment such as digital cameras, which primarily upload rather than download information.
